It’s the match which has generated a lot of interest in India – Argentina taking on Venezuela in a FIFA Friendly in Kolkata on September 2. And as the tickets are up for sale, the organisers of the match handed over tickets to India’s National Team Players at a function in the Capital.
Speaking on the occasion, All India Football Federation Vice President Mr. Subrata Dutta referred to the match as “one to be scripted in golden letters,” saying: “We should be having more of such matches in the future.” All the members of the National Team were present at the function.
The rippling effect of the match will benefit Indian football. Such matches are never a wastage of money as is being depicted. The match will enormously help in generating more commercial interest.

Dismissing speculations that the Salt Lake Stadium won’t be ready to host Lionel Messi and Co., Dutta declared:
The Stadium is being renovated and will sport a new look for the match. We will fulfill all FIFA requirements.
