SAFF Championship 2011: Nepal football team reaches New Delhi

Nepal national football team reached here in New Delhi earlier this morning for the upcoming SAFF (South Asian Football Federation) Championship 2011 being held in the capital city of India.

Bidding farewell the team, the ANFA (All Nepal Football Federation) president Ganesh Thapa said he will not be going with the team to New Delhi saying,

Because sometimes you have to be superstitious. I am not going to Delhi to support my team. Our best wishes are with all the players. Players should remember country and I am confident that our boys will do good

Earlier the president of  ANFA, Mr. Thapa motivated the team by announcing huge incentives. He promised a lifetime monthly award of Rs. 10,000 for each player in case they win the SAFF Championship also hinting that there would be much more in store for them.

The team is staying in Hilton Hotel and will play their 1st match of SAFF Championship on 2nd December against Maldives.
