Dempo have given both East Bengal and Mohun Bagan a lifeline when they lost their last game against Pune FC. Having given up hopes previously, they are back in the hunting.

East Bengal takes on Shillong Lajong FC at Shillong this saturday and will go for full 3 points. In the first leg, East Bengal had beaten SLFC 2-0 and would like to repeat the performance. But this time they are going to miss the services of the prolific Penn Orji and Harmanjot Khabra. Both are facing double yellow booking.

East Bengal are currently on the second spot in the Indian Football League table with 35 points from 19 matches. The leaders Dempo have a lead of 5 points with equal number of matches. Shillong are however trailing on the 10th spot with 24 points. But they are always dangerous at their home-ground with vociferous Europesque crowd.
