If there is one club that definitely needs to be back in the top division of Indian football league (I-League), it is the Mohammedan SC who have a huge legacy to be accountable to. Sitting out for 2 seasons back to back, this time they look quite good to make it through.
Having won 4 consecutive match in their group, Mohammedan SC has virtually booked their tickets to the final round of I- League Division 2. The team coached by Alok Mukherjee have beaten KGF Academy 4-1, Vasco SC 1-0, Golden Threads 2-1 and most recently Luangmual 1-0.
They still have to play Simla Youngs, Langsning FC and PIFA Colaba FC out of which only the Langsning FC looks a formidable team. In the final round there will be 7 teams, 6 qualifiers and ONGC FC who were relegated last year. Only 2 teams will qualify for the I-League
