Rob Baan slected 8 fresh graduates from the Tata Football Academy in Jamshedpur to induct into the Pailan Arrows, a developmental side playing in I-league, the top tier Indian football league.

Earlier it used to be the Kolkata football clubs who skimmed out the top talents each year. But it is generally seen that most of those budding players do not get enough time on the field. This has caused a major drainage of talent.

There have been players who were lost due to lack of proper guidance in spite of showing great promise.

By inducting them into Pailan Arrows, AIFF will make sure that all of these players get a good mentoring, counselling and a lot of match practice.

The Pailan Arrows side this season has been below par. So Rob Baan has been given the duty to personally scout players and make a strong team. The selected players also include Alwyn George who has impressed one and all with his skills in his very first match. he has been signed for Rs 22 lakh.

The contract details of the other 7 cadets will be finalized soon.
