Dodsal FC gearing up to enter Indian football in style

The Dubai based conglomerate NRI Rajen Kalichand has decided to launch a new football club in Mumbai and in style.

The club named Dodsal United has registered with the Mumbai FA and now looking to form a team that looks strong enough to break into the top division of Indian football.

A local daily spotted Bimal Ghosh, former Air India coach, with a bunch of well-known footballers in Kolkata. He was there to sign the players.


Likes of Surkumar Singh, N P Pradeep, Paresh Shivalkar, Kali Alauddin, Thoi Singh, Sandeep Nandy are under its radar. Only Surkumar and Sandeep Nandy are yet to sign but Surkumar is more or less finalised. Sandeep has offer from Churchill too.

The club is going to be under professional set up outrightly. Their management team is as follows:

CEO: Mohammed Omar, former captain for UAE

Chief Coach: Bimal Ghosh

Asst. Coach: Mahesh Lotalikar, AFC ‘A’ Licensee

U19 Coach: Abdul Siddiqi

Physio: Nivedita

Apart from that they will also have goalkeeping coach. The youth academy will come up within one year. The senior team will start practice from mid-June at Vashi on artificial turf.

The budget for the 1st season itself will be INR 1oo million which by far is the highest for any 2nd division football club in India.

  1. It would be great if your club give chances to new talent.. n trained them.. there r hundreds of good player in India who can't afford to go for the training because or their economic conditions…
