Your month of August could never start in a better way this year! An anonymous sports management company has arranged an international friendly between Manchester United and Juventus on the 1st of August.
Earlier there was a report about a possible match between Barcelona and Inter Milan. But that did not materialize due to shortage of time.
But this one is very likely to materialize as the Bengal sports minister Mr. Madan Mitra himself has confirmed this.
Juventus are the Italian Serie A champions while Manchester United lost the title to their city rivals Manchester City.
Speaking to the Times of India, Mr. Madan Mitra said that the talks with the representatives of both the clubs are in the final stages and the match will happen on the 1st of August in all probability.
A delightful clash between Rooney and Buffon is on the cards for the city of joy and Indian football fans. Manchester United officials have already inspected the artificial pitch at the Salt Lake Stadium and given a go ahead.
There have also been official mail exchanges between the officials of the Juventus and Manchester United and the sports ministry of West Bengal.

Not happening! Manchester United and Juventus have a tight summer schedule.. The Sports minister must look at the calendars before commenting on something. Clubs like Manchester United get 100 proposals like these every month, they should have given the statement only after confirmation from both the clubs.
