The youth development program of the All India Football Federation (AIFF) got a major fillip yesterday when they signed an with the Football Federation of Australia (FFA).
This initiative is a part of the Australian  Sports Outreach Program (ASOP). The ASOP is conducted with the partner federation with the assistance from the Australian Sports Commission who commit a sum of 5 million AUD over 5 years to the beneficiary.
This partnership will also include technical support for capacity building, apart from the financial assistance.
This agreement will boost the ongoing efforts of the AIFF to develop talent through grassroot programs.
The AIFF currently runs multiple regional and one elite academy with the help of FIFA and the regional partners. The positive effects of this initiative is already showing as the technical abilities of the current age group players are visibly much superior.
