Under fire coach Karim Bencherifa and Mohun Bagan officials had decided to release Eric Muranda whose performance for the club was extremely poor. The fourth foreigner slot will now be taken up by striker Chizoba Christopher.
Chizoba Christopher was playing for Calcutta Football League team Peerless and has been in terrific form. However, it will be interesting to see if Christopher can match his CFL form in the much higher level I League.
