In a bid to further strengthen the squad, Shillong Lajong Football Club has completed the signing of Durga Boro.
The twenty seven year old striker hails from Assam and played for Oil India before signing for Churchill Brothers in 2009.
Expressing pleasure in the club’s new signing; General Secretary of Lajong, Mr. Larsing M. Sawyan said
We are extremely happy to have Durga Boro join Lajong. Durga is a striker with a lot of potential and we were very interested in signing him back in 2009.
Durga had already signed for Churchill Brothers, by the time Lajong qualified for the I-League back then and Shillong had to wait for another 5 years to get him to play for them
We wish him all the best and we hope that he will play an important role for the Club in the remainder of the season.
