In a bid to prepare the team for the upcoming AFC Challenge Cup 2014 Myanmar Football Federation has arranged for two international friendlies in early May this year.
National football teams of Afghanistan and Turkmenistan have been invited to play the friendlies in Yangon. The first friendly will be played on May 6th while the second one could be played on May 9th.
It is reported that there has been no confirmation from the Afghanistan FA or Turkmenistan FA but Myanmar is expecting positive replies from both the federations soon.
All the three teams are participating in the AFC Challenge Cup that will be held in Maldives in May this year. The winner of the tournament gets an automatic qualification spot in the Asia Cup 2015 in Australia. Reportedly, this will be the last edition of AFC Challenge Cup before the tournament is scrapped.]
