The coming gameweek poses to see lots of ups and downs in the League table as the leaders are getting ready for tough fixtures ahead with the fourth placed Southampton taking a trip to Wales to meet third placed Swans. Everton, Spurs and Manchester United can take advantage of easier challenges to improve their places a bit.
Defenders
Tottenham defenders can be trusted to keep a clean sheet as they welcome a pretty weaker Baggies’ unit, who failed to find the back of the net in their last 3 outings. In this regard, Dier (5.4) or Rose (5.0) can also chip in with an assist or a goal to take their point tally to the two figure mark.
The other sides who can end up without conceding goals are Manchester United, Everton and Burnley, with some doubt. Leighton Baines 6.9) and Seamus Coleman (7.0) can easily please their fantasy managers after Everton’s home clash against Crystal Palace whereas the Red Devils’ are likely to be rock solid at their defense in their new formation against Leicester. The newly promoted Burnley, conceding just 1 goal in last 3 matches, has something more than a chance to repeat the story at Turf Moor against Gus Poyet’s shaky troops.
Taking cues from the last two causes, Rojo 6.0), Trippier (4.9) and Duff (4.1) can prove to be effective. Apart from certainties, a jubilant Aston Villa side can surprise out-of-pace gunners as they will be looking to re-script their heroics at Anfield last week.
To speak of the negatives, it will not be too wise to include defenders from the heavyweights Chelsea and Manchester City as their mouth-watering clash will surely see a lot goals, resulting in no clean sheets for both of the sides.
Midfielders
Aaron Ramsey (9.1) and Mesut Ozil (9.0)’s form dropped quite a bit as we have seen them struggling in the recent Champions League clash at Signal Iduna Park. Yaya Toure (10.8) also failed to look threatening on the field. So, this is the time to replace them with Cesc Fabregas (9.4), who is clearly doing just what Toure did last season.
Nacer Chadli (6.1) has shown consistency in terms of goal-scoring. He along with Eriksen (7.9) can score a few in a predicted home win over West Brom.
After the ifs and buts, certainty comes with the big name Angel Di Maria (9.6), who is on fire from the outset. Angel Di Maria or Ander Herrera will have to leave a huge impact if Manchester United aspires to draw something substantial from the season. Keeping in faith over their genius, their success will land in rich accolades in fantasy team-sheet.
The other names who can claim a space in your fantasy side this week are Silva (9.0), McGeady (5.5), Mirallas (7.4), Schneiderlin (5.7) and Downing (5.5).
Forwards
Diego Costa (10.8), in his prime form, can award a bag of points regularly. He should be a must in your team like Suarez was in the last season.
Rooney (10.4) and Aguero (12.1) both netted in the last weekend and are expected to continue in the coming fixtures. Falcao (11.0) is likely to get his first start but it will be a fair bit of gamble to include him, which may pay off.
The lower budget alternatives will be Naismith (5.4), Ulloa (5.6) and Abel Hernandez (7.0).
Captain tips
Having a look at Digeo Costa’s tough clash at the Etihad, one can hand over the duty of captaincy to Di Maria. If Di Maria does not fit into your budget at current point of time, one may take help of wildcard to fit him in.
Wayne Rooney will also be a fair choice as captain. One can also gamble on the Tottenham or Everton full backs.
