After a busy Champions League mid-week, four of the top six teams of the Premier League are going to face each other this weekend. Arsenal can take the advantage of this to sneak in the top six as they look favourites to win the clash at the Stadium of Light. The thrilling set of actions will see Van Gaals’ army welcome Mourinho’s unbeaten Chelsea at their home on Sunday night. Here we try our luck to pick the players who are going to bring smile into their fantasy owners at the end of the Gameweek
Goalkeepers and Defenders
Among the fixtures, Swansea and Everton look favourite to keep the clean sheet. The foxes have gone silent after a brilliant start in their return to Premier League. On this note, Taylor (4.7) and Williams (5.1) will make their owners rich.
On the other hand, Everton are very likely to thrash an out-of-pace Burnley side without conceding. In this context, Baines (7.1) and Coleman (6.9) will share a few points between them.
The biggest clash of this weekend is quite less probable to end goal-less for either of the sides. So, retaining clean sheet will be a tougher ask but Luke Shaw or Ivanovic can find the back of the net to make it up.
Vertonghen, Kompany, Clyne, Lovren and Davies are some of the other names who can score this weekend.
Midfielders
It is going to be head-to-head clash between Fabregas and Di Maria, the top two point scorers in midfield this season. Both of them have the capability to produce magic with their attacking flair. Di Maria received a knock at the Hawthorns last week but according to the latest reports, he is all set to face Chelsea at Old Trafford.
Southampton’s Serbian playmaker Tadic (7.6) can be trusted to keep up his form whereas Sigurdsson (6.8) will surely bring on his skills to thwart a travelling Leicester unit.
Sanchez (10.3) and Silva (9.1) are two big names on the radar who look poised to explode pretty soon. Coming back from injury, Ross Barkley (6.7) and Ramsey (8.8) will try their best to get back into the last season’s form.
Sterling, Hazard and Eriksen hold more or less same chance to deliver rewards. Diame (5.5) is a new addition to the list of exciting cheaper midfielders. Hull’s Ben Arfa (5.7) will get more first team opportunities now due to injury of Jelavic. Apart from the aforesaid mentions, Chadli and Downing will hold their safe places in fantasy teams.
Forwards
According to sources, Diego Costa will miss Manchester Utd clash following a newly aggravated groin injury. In his absence, Aguero will be the star power in Prermier League and the Argentine is in lightning form after scoring four goals last week.
Falcao did not start last time around due to jet lag but he will return into the first team against Chelsea. Italian attacker Graziano Pelle (8.1) is also showing his class and he sits in 22.3% of the teams. Lukaku and Bony can be counted to be a good choice on paper as the second striker.
Danny Welbeck (7.3), West Ham’s season revelation Sakho (5.7) and the Baggies’ attacker Berahino (5.7) can be given the third attacking role.
Transfer tips
Yaya Toure needs to be transferred out and Barkley or Ramsey can be transferred in to replace the Ivorian. Ulloa and Naismith seemed to have lost the form they have shown earlier in the season. Hence, Sakho or Berahino will be an intelligent buy.
Captain tips
Stars like Di Maria and Fabregas are considered as big match players. It will be a choice to make between Di Maria, Fabregas and Aguero to play safe.
Baines and Lukaku can be played as the lucky trumps to assign captaincy role as Everton is having the easiest of the clashes at Turf Moor.
