Having signed on transfer deadline day with the obviously vastly inflated fee due to the Merseysiders netting £50 million from the sale of Fernando Torres, £35million on a striker and expecting him to fit into the Liverpool way, rather than adapt to his, was bizarre from the off. Eventually off-loaded at near £20 million loss, Liverpool fans are sure not to take his name with much furore around Anfield.
