Indian Super League team Atletico de Kolkata (ATK) has officially rubbished the claims of Didier Drogba signing for their ISL campaign this season even as the rumours are doing rounds in certain media circles.
It was believed that the veteran player was in talks with ATK through agent Baljit Rihal for a possible $1 million move for a 4 months period. The same was even claimed by the said player agent as published in a British tabloid.
ATK official Subroto Talukdar, however, says that there is no such deal going on within their knowledge.
The decision to select marquee player lies with coach Habas .We are not aware of any dealings with Didier Drogba.
Habas has already expressed desire to get a marquee who is under 34 years of age and Drogba certainly misses that mark by 3 years.
