Sunil Chhetri earlier sent out a heartfelt request to football fans around Mumbai to come out and support India and it gathered a lot of attention with over 100k reactions on Twitter. This resulted in the game getting sold out which will be a big boost for the blue tigers.
Kenya despite sending a weaker squad are believed to be one of toughest opposition the blue tigers will face this competition. They earlier marked their first game against New Zealand with a 2-1 victory.
Their coach Sebastian Migne said “We have a difficult game against India. We have only two days to recover but we will try to put on a good attitude. When you have only two days to recover but we don’t have a choice, hence the challenge against India will be good. We know it will be difficult, but with a good attitude, everything is possible.
We can expect a very closely contested match with 2 equally matched side and can hope Sunil Chhetri marks this special occasion with a win.
