Senegal beat Poland 2-1 in their opening fixture becoming the first African Team to win at 2018 FIFA Wolrd Cup. The game saw some amazing defensive performance from Senegal specially from their center backs Koluibaly and Sané who kept Robert Lewandoski quiet for the whole game.
Senegal opened the scoring via an own goal from Cionek after a shot from Idrissa Gueye got deflected of him into the goal. Senegal doubled their lead in the 60th minute via Niang who capitalised from a mistake by Krychowiak.
Krychowiak did pull one goal back in the 86th minute but Senegal managed to keep their lead intact and become the first African Team to win in the 2018 WC.
