The football tournament for U19 players of different I league playing clubs is set to kick off from 26th of this month. There are 15 teams participating this year. The teams are divided into 4 groups as following
The matches will be played at 4 different venues for each group. Group A will play in Goa, group B in Kolkata, Group C in Mumbai while group D in Punjab. The exact venue details have not yet been released. It is for sure that the Goa matches will be held in Nehru Stadium in Fatorda, Kolkata matches in Salt Lake and Punjab matches in the Guru Nanak stadium, Ludhiana. However, there is an uncertainty regarding Mumbai venue. The Cooperage stadium is currently under renovation as the new artificial turf is being laid there. AIFF might be left with no option but to play in either Kolhapur or Balewadi Sports Complex in Pune.
