The artificial turf at the Salt Lake stadium which the IFA and AIFF never get tired boasting of has once again proved to be dangerous and a major risk for players. In its exploits’ list, young Indian star Robin Singh is the new entrant. While practicing with the team East Bengal ahead of their Federation Cup campaign, Robin Singh got seriously injured and had to be hospitalized. Reports say that he will miss out on the match against Mohameddan SC on Saturday.
This is the same artificial turf which had forced even Messi and Co. to take a time out during the match even though it was played in the evening. Imagine what will happen to our players when they take the field in the scorching afternoon sun. We should all protest against it as fans.

Whenever I use to have training at Salt Lake I feel little worried about the artificial turf coz I saw someone got injured there everytime!!
At a time when AIFF is getting all the major grounds equipped with artificial turf, I think its a time to rethink over the decision.
