Transfer market is getting hotter in Indian football like never before. While the big spending clubs are splurging money on the tried and tested foreigners like Chidi, Ranty and Odafa, the newly promoted clubs and financially weaker  teams are cutting corners and finding innovative solutions. The latest rumors are as follows:

1. United Sikkim FC signs a Korean goalkeeper. this is probably a 1st in Indian football that a foreigner goalkeeper has been signed. Indi is known for its good breed of goalkeepers and why did USFC waste an Asian quota spot is beyond me.

2.  I-League 2nd division football club Kalighat MS are signing a Nigeria U20 international as a striker.

3.  Dodsal FC, a new club in Mumbai, has signed N P Pradeep, Jagtar Singh, Daljit Singh, Surkumar  Singh and Rahul Kumar. They are aiming for I-league qualification. They are investing money to meet the 17 AFC criteria to be able to play in the I-League Division 2 next year.

4. Romeo Fernandes has extended his contract with Dempo SC for 4 more years.

5. Philippe de Ridder is looking west to get a quality European player for USFC
