According to the Mohammedan management, Mohammedan SC coach Sanjoy Sen has handed his resignation to the club.
Sanjoy Sen, under whom MSC has won the 2nd division I League, thus gaining I League qualification, has cited personal reasons for his decisions. The decision comes as an shock as Sanjoy Sen was very much a part of MSC’s I League plans and he had even given his player’s wishlist to the club. Under him, the club has only lost 1 out of the 17 matches. Eyebrows will be raised as MSC has a long history of sacking coaches and one wonder whether Sen’s decision has anything to do with differences between him and the club management. Some rumors also suggest that he has been approached by Pailan Arrows to replace Arthur Papas.
According to some rumors, Mohammedan SC might approach ONGC coach Santosh Kashyap, who was also in Mohun Bagan for some time.
