Having lost its 2 opening matches. Nepal U19 team have nothing to lose against one of the strongest teams in the group Uzbekistan.
In the first match against Turkmenistan, Nepal were dominating until the 33rd minute when a Nepali player was sent off due to two yellow card bookings. Even when they were playing with 10 men, Nepal fought bravely but Turkmenistan managed to score 2 goals to win the match by 2-1.
Against India, the Nepal team struggled to keep possession and except for the first 10 minutes in the second half, they were forced to defend the ball while Indians showed superior skills and passing accuracy. Its only the heroics of the Nepal goalkeeper and the poor finishing by the Indian strikers that saved Nepal from the blushes and they escaped with a narrow 1-0 defeat.
Uzbekistan on the other hand have played just one match against Turkmenistan but despite dominating the proceedings, have looked shoddy in finishing and managed just a 1-0 narrow win. They, however, would prove plentiful fr the Nepal defense which needs to maintain a tighter formation.
