Belgium start their WC campaign with a comfortable 3-0 victory over Panama who were playing their first ever World Cup game . Belgium strutted to break Panama’s resistance in the first half but managed to have a much better second half. Goals Dries Mertens opened the scoring and top scorer Romelu Lukaku scored 2 goals.
